Celebrate Disability Pride Day – July 10

The Arc of Buffalo County Hosts Annual Disability Pride Celebration at New Location

Kearney, NE — The Arc of Buffalo County, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare, invites the entire community to join us this Friday, July 10, 2026, for our annual Disability Pride Celebration — this year at a NEW location: the Holiday Inn in Kearney!

This free, family-friendly event runs from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and offers a day filled with joy, connection, and community.

“Our theme, ‘The World Works Better With Us,’ says it all,” said Grace Thomsen, Board President of The Arc of Buffalo County. “People with disabilities are our neighbors, coworkers, artists, and leaders. This celebration is about recognizing that our community is stronger, more creative, and more connected when everyone has a seat at the table — and a spot on the dance floor.”

Event Highlights Include:

A vibrant Resource Fair from 12:00–3:00 PM featuring face painting, hair tinsel, a photo booth, a collaborative art creation, local craft vendors, activities for all ages, and more!

A one-hour Listening Session from 3:00–4:00 PM — let’s gather to talk about how things are going and what we can do to support one another.

The Show Your Glow Dance from 4:00–6:00 PM — cap off the celebration on the dance floor!
